Two American Dreams

That was interesting, thanks. I just posted a couple you might find interesting...one was about a couple in NY trying to attain a Zero Impact lifestyle and the other was an article on what the impact on the earth is of having a child. Both have really got me thinking about how to get to a better way of life.

I had heard about the couple trying to achieve zero impact. Very cool!

As to the other one on population, well, that's the "third rail" of environmentalism, in my opinion. I notice that although it's the highest-impact action of all, none of the big environmental organizations will touch reproduction. I personally agree that it's far better to adopt, and got a vasectomy when I was 30. I won't enter into the emotional battle that erupts when population-reduction advocacy comes up, though. Reproduction is pretty close to many of our hearts, and discussion turns emotionally-heated. I made my own choice, and I'm thrilled with it. Others' personal choices and opinions will vary.
