Okay, so sometimes technology is pretty cool...
I must say, Google Earth blows me away. It's awesome to take a gander at trails I run, using the satellite view. Here's my usual jaunt, which I've come to nickname "the gym":

http://www.google.com/maps?client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&channel=s&q=&z=15&ll=37.680424,-122.424474&spn=0.021364,0.037894&t=h&om=1

The weather has been la creme de la creme here lately, and I'm loving it. Life is good! :-)

Another cool (I think) resource is mapmyrun.com It uses google maps but layers a cool interface on top of it to allow you to enter runs by gps or just clicking dots, allows you to save and share the runs and most importantly to me gives you a mileage for the run you just entered so you know how far the run actually was not just how far it felt like
